Holy Family hosting Interlude String Quartet, Dec. 15

Holy Family is delighted to host the Interlude String Quartet for the third consecutive year on Monday, December 15th at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

“We look forward to performing familiar music that everyone knows and loves, plus lesser-known carols from around the world,” Stephen Taylor, the Interlude String Quartet’s lead violinist, shared.

One of the older pieces of music is “Lo, How a Rose”, composed in 1599 and still sung in most churches today. It’s a lovely song that has been arranged by many composers including Brahms.

They will also present old French and English Carols arranged for string quartet. While not household names you’ll recognize many of the familiar tunes such as “Pat a Pan” and “Bring a Torch Isabella.”

“And we’ll of course play songs of the season you know and love like Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. We always enjoy playing the familiar Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson. We have music that all ages will know and enjoy!” Tayor added.

The concert is informal and all are warmly invited to attend. Immediately following the concert, there will be cookies and hot cocoa in Fellowship Hall.
