Holiday World to debut ‘Rubber Duck Days’ event this June

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari has announced a new limited-time event, Rubber Duck Days, set to run June 8–21 at the Santa Claus, Indiana theme park.

The event was unveiled on April Fools’ Day via a video on Holiday World’s website and social media — but despite the timing, park officials confirm it’s the real deal.

The centerpiece of the event will be The World’s Largest Rubber Duck, a more than 60-foot-tall inflatable dubbed “Mama Duck,” which will be installed in the Splashin’ Safari water park for the duration of the two-week event. A smaller companion duck named Timmy — standing 10 feet tall — will also be on site for guest photos and up-close interaction.

“Holiday World is all about fun and giving our guests new things to quack about,” said Lauren Crosby, Director of Entertainment & Events and Fourth Generation Owner. “We think they’ll find Rubber Duck Days pretty unBILLievable!”

In addition to the oversized attractions, the event will feature duck-themed food items and other unannounced surprises.

The announcement video also served as an opportunity to recognize two retiring long-time employees. Dee Ann Woolems, Accounting Manager, joined the park full-time in 1993 and held multiple roles over her more than 30-year tenure. Tony Perkins, Director of Maintenance, has been with the park since 2008.

“Both Dee Ann and Tony have been huge contributors to Holiday World’s growth and success,” said President & CEO Matt Eckert. “We thank them for making us better and congratulate them on their well-deserved retirements.”

Rubber Duck Days will be included with regular park admission.
