Holiday World featuring special 250th drone and fireworks show

Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks spectacular has returned for its fifth season. This year’s show runs nightly now through August 3 and features 500 drones, including nearly 50 with in-air pyrotechnical elements, and includes extra patriotic animations in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.
The only park in the nation with a Fourth of July section has packed the week of the Fourth of July with patriotic celebrations in honor of the milestone celebration for the United States of America:
- July 1 – Holiday World officials will unveil the largest single-attraction investment in park history as part of an 8:45 am YouTube video release highlighting a humorous Cannonball Competition. Guests are also encouraged to visit the park’s Party Plaza before the drone show for a special viewing of the announcement video.
- July 2 – The 38th Infantry Division Band, Indiana’s only military band, will be performing on the Hoosier Celebration Theater stage throughout the day.
- July 3 & 4 – Holidays in the Sky, which already features 500 drones and nearly 50 in-air pyrotechnical elements and fireworks, will conclude with a huge fireworks finale.
- July 4 – Escape artist Lady Houdini, Kristen Johnson, will begin two weeks of performances of breathtaking skill at the Hoosier Celebration Theater. Johnson is famous for breaking Harry Houdini’s estimated record of 1,000 water cell escapes. She has performed the trick more than 2,700 times.
- July 1-4 – 12-foot-tall Patriotic Stilt Walkers will roam the parks dressed in red, white, and blue, dancing and waving to Guests along the way.
“The Fourth of July is a time to come together, celebrate our country, and enjoy time with the people who matter most,” says Matt Eckert, President & CEO. “At Holiday World, we’re proud to offer a place where families can make those memories, whether that’s a ride on Liberty Launch, a spin on Star-Spangled Carousel, or finishing their day of fun with a patriotic drone and fireworks show.”
Holiday World’s location in Santa Claus, Indiana—just a few hours from cities like Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Nashville, and Columbus—makes it an accessible and worthwhile destination for families and thrill-seekers alike.
