Holiday Liquors supports local suicide prevention and response groups
Holiday Liquors’ sixth Bourbon Charity Raffle netted more than $17,000 to be split between two local nonprofits dedicated to addressing suicide in Dubois County.
Last week, the business presented checks for $8,525 each to Locking Arms for Suicide Prevention and Survivors of Suicide.

According to Survivors of Suicide director Janet Schnell, the funding will enhance resources for suicide loss survivors and support training in evidence-based programs in Dubois County.
“Survivors of Suicide of Dubois County would like to extend its gratitude to Holiday Liquors for their generous donation through the Bourbon Charity Raffle,” she said.
Thank you so much, Holiday Liquors and Wooden Keg Liquors, for your generous donation,” said Kendra Nichols in a Facebook post. “We cannot wait to use these funds to give back to our community and help many more affected by suicide loss through training, resources and prevention.”
The bourbon raffles are a Right to Buy Lottery for highly sought-after bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle, Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, and several super rare bourbons. There were 37 bottles for this raffle including Pappy Van Winkle 20 year; Pappy Van Winkle 15 year; Van Winkle Reserve Rye; Rip Van Winkle 10 year; Buffalo Trace Antique Collection – W.L.
