Hobert C. Reed, 67

Hobert C. Reed, age 67, of Huntingburg, Indiana passed away at 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born September 7, 1945 in Johnson City, Tennessee to Kyle James and Ella Marie (Tharp) Reed.

Hobert married Patricia “Patty” Sutt on May 16, 1964 in Gainesboro, Tennessee.

He was a truck driver, loved fishing and hunting, was a member of the Huntingburg Conservation Club, was an avid Elvis fan, and a devout Baptist man of God.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and two brothers, James Reed and infant Jimmy Reed.

He is survived by:

His wife, Patricia “Patty” Reed – Huntingburg, IN

One son, Martin Reed – Peoria, AZ

One daughter, Carrie Rusie – Huntingburg, IN

One brother, Rick Reed – Indianapolis, IN

and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Hobert C. Reed will be held at 2:00 p.m., (E.S.T.), on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery near Ireland.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Sunday, the day of the funeral.
