Hit-and-run causes $5,000 in damages

Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run on First Avenue in front of Jasper Rubber, 1010 First Ave.

According to police, the unknown vehicle struck two parked cars causing about $5,000 in damages Friday at about 9:30 p.m.

The Jasper Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying the vehicle that left the scene of the crash. This vehicle will have significant damage to the passenger’s side and is possibly a white or grey colored vehicle.
