Hill awarded Tonya Heim Nursing Scholarship

Kayla Hill has been named the 2016 recipient of the $1,000 Tonya Heim Nursing Scholarship at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.

Hill is a registered nurse in Memorial Hospital’s Caring Hands Senior Services unit. She is attending Vincennes University working to attain a BSN degree. Hill resides in Petersburg.

The Tonya Heim Scholarship was created to provide educational assistance and remove barriers for degree advancement for Memorial Hospital associate of science in nursing (ASN) and diploma nurses. The first priority of the scholarship is to provide assistance for bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree attainment, but assistance can also be provided for nurses pursuing a master’s degree, advanced practice degree, or doctorate degrees in nursing.
