Hilda M. Ebert, 91

Hilda M. Ebert, 91, of Ferdinand, died Tuesday February 19 ,2013 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Jasper.

She was born in Spencer County on March 23,1921 to Frank & Frances (Vogler) Denning.

She married Tony Ebert on April 15,1947 in St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. Hilda was employed at The Monastery of Immaculate Conception , Sisters of St. Benedict, Ferdinand for 15 years.

Hilda was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, and its St. Anne’s Sodality, and Ferdinand Senior Citizens. He hobbies were quilting and gardening, she especially loved flowers.

Surviving are her husband, Tony Ebert; three daughters, Carol Conti of Silver Springs, MD. Judy Mehling of Ferdinand, and Linda Ray of Avon, IN; two sons, Harley Ebert of Newnan, GA and Glenn Ebert of Indianapolis. Twelve grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One sister, Arlene Schaeffer of Jasper.

She was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Ebert, one sister, Florentine Pund, and two brothers, Clarence Denning and Louis Denning.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 7:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m Saturday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand.
