Hilda Arensman, 98

Hilda Arensman, age 98, formerly of Huntingburg, having moved 11 years ago to live with her niece in Evansville, passed away at 5:20 a.m. CDT, Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Golden Living Center-Brentwood in Evansville.
She was born October 20, 1914 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Mathew and Margaret (Schmidt) Oser.
She was united in marriage to her one-and-only love, Louis Arensman, on August 29, 1940.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and belonged to St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality. Hilda was a hard worker her entire life – having worked at the Jasper Glove Factory and General Electric, farmed with her husband until 1977, and worked as a housekeeper for many years at various businesses and homes including Farm Credit Services for 40-plus years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 55 years, Louis A. Arensman, who died November 16, 1995; her parents, Mathew and Margaret Oser; four brothers – Ralph, Walter, Sylvester and Hubert Oser; and two sisters – Dorothy Vogler and Louise Bolin.
She is survived by:
Her niece and caregiver, Kelli Hart of Evansville, IN and family with whom she lived for 11 years; and by many nieces, nephews and very special friends.
Funeral services for Hilda Arensman will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
