Hilbert F. Schwartz, 85

Hilbert F. Schwartz, age 85, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Brookside Village in Jasper.

He was born May 30, 1928 in Ferdinand, Indiana to Herbert and Frances (Stetter) Schwartz. Hilbert retired from Kimball Corporation. Following his retirement, he enjoyed carpentry and woodworking at home. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Hilbert was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Hilbert Schwartz Jr.; two daughters, Clarissa Mae Hedinger and Kathleen Verlee Schwartz; three brothers, Alfred, Albert and Urban Anthony Schwartz; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons,Marvin J. Schwartz and Ronald A. Schwartz, both of Dubois; by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Hilbert F. Schwartz will be held at 10 a.m., EDT, on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2-8 p.m., on Friday. A parish rosary prayer services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com.
