Herbstfest Miss and Preteen Miss Queen Pageant contestants announced

The 2019 Huntingburg Herbstfest Miss and Pre-Teen Miss Queen Pageants are set for Sunday, September 22, 2019, at the Southridge High School Auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.

The Huntingburg Herbstfest will run from Thursday, September 26, 2019, to Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Huntingburg City Park with the parade to follow on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. EST.

Miss:

The following six contestants are competing for the title of Miss Herbstfest 2019, who will be crowned by Miss Herbstfest 2018 Chaney Barrett.

LaKiesha Jo Wampler is the 18-year-old daughter of Brian & Melissa Wampler of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of cheerleading, Spirit Club, Key Club, Freshman Mentors, German Club, and Kindness Club. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to study secondary education. She is sponsored by her family.
Anna Kappner is the 17-year-old daughter of Joe & Stacy Kappner of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of National Honors Society, Student Council, Natural Helpers, Freshman Mentors, FCA, Yearbook Editor, German Club, Basketball, Tennis, and BPA. She plans to attend Indiana University to study biology. She is sponsored by her family.
Keysha Kieser is the 18-year-old daughter of Mike and Carol Vailes of Huntingburg. She is a 2019 graduate of Southridge High School. She will be attending Ivy Tech this spring. She is sponsored by Hummingbird Daycare.
Louisa Nino is the 20-year-old daughter of Primitivo and Judy Nino of Huntingburg. She is a 2018 graduate of Southridge High School where she was a member of band and choir. She is currently attending Indiana University where she is studying Marketing Business Analytics. She is involved in the American Marketing Association, IU Dance Marathon, and Sigma Kappa. She is sponsored by her family.
Paige Kendall is the 17-year-old daughter of Pat & Linda Kendall of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of Mayor’s Youth Council, Key Club, Spirit Club, FCA, Natural Helpers, Freshman Mentors, NHS, SIEC Advisory Council, musical, choir, and track & field. She plans to attend the University of Indianapolis to study communications. She is sponsored by her family.
Joscelyn Blanchard is the 20-year-old daughter of Sheila Blanchard of Huntingburg. She is a 2018 graduate of Southridge High School, where she was a member of cheerleading, choir, musical, FCA, and Spirit Club. She is a graduate of  The Salon Professional Academy and is currently working as a hairstylist at Southern Roots in Jasper. She is sponsored by Southern Roots Salon.

Pre-Teen:

The following four contestants are competing for the title of Pre-Teen Miss Herbstfest 2019, who will be crowned by Pre-Teen Miss Herbstfest 2018 Annika Beard.

Heather Schoenbachler is the 13-year-old daughter of A.J. & Sandy Kempf of Huntingburg and the late Jeff Schoenbachler. She is in the 8th grade at Southridge Middle School, where she is a member of track, choir, and cheerleading. She hopes to become a veterinarian. She is sponsored by Jasper Family Dentistry.
Janelle Hill is the 11-year-old daughter of Josh & Jody Hill of Huntingburg. She is in the 5th grade at Huntingburg Elementary School, where she is a member of Southridge singers, cheerleading, volleyball, and Girls on the Run. She hopes to become an Occupational Therapist. She is sponsored by her family
Kara Schmitt is the 12-year-old daughter of Chris and Sarah Schmitt of Holland. She is in the 7th grade at Southridge Middle School, where she is a member of cheerleading and soccer. She hopes to become a pediatrician or a surgeon. She is sponsored by her family.
Jaylynn Goodwin is the 11-year-old daughter of Mark & Lynn Goodwin of Holland. She is in the 6th grade at Southridge Middle School, where she is a member of cheerleading. She hopes to become a Beautician. She is sponsored by her family.
