Herald photography February feature at Krempp Gallery
The photography of the Dubois County Herald will be featured at the Krempp Gallery for the month of February.
The exhibition, ‘The Moment: Photojournalism of The Herald’ features award-winning photographs taken by The Herald’s nationally recognized photojournalists. The photographs, spanning 35 years, are captured moments that tell visual stories about local people and life.
Photographers exhibiting in February include, Alan Petersime, Steve Mellon, Tim Meyers, Jeff Tuttle, Mark Osler, Torsten Kjellstrand, Aristide Economopolous, David Pierini, Marie-Susanne Langille, Amanda Lucier, Justin Rumbach, Krista Hall, Dave Weatherwax, and Carolyn Van Houten.
Among the fourteen featured photojournalists, Alan Petersime was the first full-time photographer hired by The Herald and Torsten Kjellstrand won International Photographer of the Year in the Pictures of the Year Competition while at The Herald.
The FiRST THURSDAY Opening Reception at the Krempp Gallery is on February 4th, 2016 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. Cash wine bar and refreshments will be served. This is a free, family-friendly evening out.
The Krempp Gallery, located in the Jasper Arts Center adjacent to the VUJC campus, is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. School groups, clubs, and students are welcome. Admission is free.
