Helen Mae Arensman, 94

Helen Mae Arensman, 94, died on November 2, 2015.
A nurse, teacher, and veteran of World War II, she was also a loving wife and mother.
Mae was born on May 20, 1921 in Huntingburg. She married Ray William Arensman in 1946.
As a flight evacuation nurse in the US Army Air Corps, she served in both the European and Asian-Pacific theaters.
Mae taught obstetrical nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital and the University of Evansville. She loved bridge, math, sewing, and travel.
Mae was an active member of the Methodist Temple, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Planned Parenthood, and a dedicated supporter of her husband and the Temple Airs.
Mae was devoted to her family.
She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will remember her fondly.
Her life was pieced together like a beautiful quilt. It was filled with much love and laughter, with family and friends, and with a long life shared with the man she adored.
There will be a private service. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
