Helen M. Newton, 84

Helen M. Newton, age 84, of Jasper, passed away at 6:40 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana August 13, 1929 to August and Clara (Schuetter) Kunz. She married James Newton and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1996.

Helen was a member of Holy Family Catholic church in Jasper.

She is survived by her son, Richard Newton and wife Mary Beth, of El Paso, TX; two daughters, Donna Newton, Dittmer, MO, and Carol Herbig and husband Tim, of Jasper, IN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; son-in-Law, Jeff Lagenour, of Dubois, IN.

Preceding her in death is one daughter Cheryl A. Lagenour (died 03-28-2011)

Six sisters, Betty Jean Nordhoff, Mary Ann Mehringer, Magdalen Fuchs, Bernadine Kunz, Laura Dages, Edna Campbell; five brothers, Bernie Kunz, Ed Kunz, William Kunz, Eugene Kunz, and Donnie Kunz.

Entombment service was held in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum and a celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held in Holy Family Catholic Church at a later date.
