Helen M. Lehmkuhler, 93

Helen M. Lehmkuhler, age 93, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 10:10 p.m., on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born August 19, 1919 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Ed and Lily (Collins) Helmerich. She married Glenn Lehmkuhler on September 12, 1936 at the Salem Church Parsonage in Huntingburg.

Helen was a retired cook and former manager of Southridge High School’s cafeteria. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was an avid reader and loved to cook for her family.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Glenn Lehmkuhler, who passed away on August 18, 2007; five brothers- Dale, Wayne, Gerald, Charles and Eugene Helmerich; one sister, Mary Huffhouse; one half-brother, Robert Studer; and one half-sister, Fern Blemker.

She is survived by:

and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Helen M. Lehmkuhler will be held at 11:00 a.m., (E.S.T.), on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday. The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Angel Mission Fund in care of the Dubois County Foundation.
