Heart of Jasper kicks off summer with back-to-back events

The Heart of Jasper is bringing the community together next week with two popular events as warmer weather takes hold.

On Thursday, June 4th, Downtown Chowdown returns to the Jasper Riverwalk Plaza from 4:00–8:00 PM. The free, family-friendly evening features a variety of food vendors, live music from The LJ’s, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for gathering with family and friends. No tickets or cost to attend — just good food and good company along the riverfront. Future Downtown Chowdown dates include July 2nd at Jaycee Park (Patriotic Park Party) and September 3rd back at the Riverwalk.

The very next evening, Friday, June 5th, Alive After 5! takes over the Square in Downtown Jasper from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The monthly series — held the first Friday of the month from May through December — features free live music, this month with Conner Loveless, along with local vendors and extended hours at downtown shops, restaurants, and boutiques. The remaining 2026 dates are August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, and December 4.
