Hazel Y. Gabriel, 89

Hazel Y. Gabriel, age 89, of Jasper, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, In The Timbers of Jasper Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born at Blue Ridge Georgia September 27, 1924 to James and Elsie (Lindsey) Heaton. She had two marriages; First marriage to James Holmes; second marriage to Lee Gabriel.

She retired as a secretary for an insurance company and in her early years had worked for Bell Aircraft in Atlanta, Georgia.

Surviving, One brother, Dennis Heaton and wife, Sharon, Jasper, IN whom she made her home with for the past eleven years; also, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her husbands are brothers, Harold, Jim, Ray, and Billie Heaton.

Private memorial services were held at the Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes, in Jasper with burial to follow in Garrison Chapel Cemetery at Heilman, Indiana at a later date.
