Haysville St. Paul’s Lutheran Church announces matching grant opportunity, seeking support for renovation project
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located in Haysville, Indiana, is honored to announce that it has received a $125,000 matching grant from Sacred Places Indiana, a program of Indiana Landmarks, a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to preserve and maintain this historic place of worship.

This generous grant offers a remarkable opportunity for the community to come together and ensure the longevity of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for future generations.
The matching nature of this grant means that every dollar donated will be doubled, making every contribution twice as impactful. This one-for-one matching grant is to fund the replacement of decades-old heating and air conditioning equipment, restore and refurbish various public-facing features of our church, and refresh and remodel the basement for future ministries.
This project is the largest they’ve undertaken since 2006.
St. Paul’s is a multi-generational church and the oldest active Lutheran congregation in Dubois County. It has over 175 years of worship and community service to Haysville and the surrounding area, and its congregants come from across Dubois, Martin, Dubois, and Pike counties.
“Gratitude is expressed towards Indiana Landmarks and Sacred Places for this sizeable grant which will be used for necessary maintenance regarding our facility,” said Rev. Timothy Holt. “This aid will assist in enabling our church to have a continued impact not only in the lives of our members, but also in the surrounding community.”
