Haunted Huntingburg house decorating contest winners announced

Huntingburg — The winners of Haunted Huntingburg’s first house decorating contest have been selected.

The winner of the “Spookiest” category is L. Rene Katterhenry, located at 615 E 1st Avenue.

The winners of the “Judges’ Choice” and “Best Special Effects” categories are Barry and Jenny Kline, located at 203 N. Sycamore Street.

“We’re excited to have some outstanding contestants in the first year of this contest,” says committee member, Jayme Rasche. “I’m already looking forward to next year.”

Judging by the Haunted Huntingburg Committee took place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

“Halloween is a time to spend with family, friends and other thrill seekers looking for a good scare,” says Kline. “We enjoy all of the screams, smiles and laughs we get from our yard at Halloween, and we look forward to it each year.”
