Harold V. “Harry” Kleiser, 88, Jasper

Harold V. “Harry” Kleiser, 88, Jasper, passed away at 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
Harold was born on August 30, 1927, in Fulda, Indiana to Frank and Josephine (Gudorf) Kleiser, the oldest of 12 children. He married Georgia A. Cresgy on July 16, 1957, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2015.
He was a lifelong employee of Ruxer Ford in Jasper in their service department as “the radiator man”. He loved his time there and all the wonderful friends and memories it offered him.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Washington, and a proud lifetime member of the Jasper Moose since 1959.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his trips to South Dakota for pheasant hunting. Many memories were made from weekends and holidays at the camp on the White River, where family and friends gathered. He and wife Georgia loved going out to eat and seeing their friends at Macadoos, Denny’s and Shoney’s.
He is survived by three sisters, Pauline (Hilary) Englert of Ferdinand, Betty (Sam) Overstreet of Owasso, Okla. and Shirley (Larry) Bartley of Jasper; three brothers, Donald Kleiser and wife Jane of Jasper, Frank Kleiser and wife Bev of Jasper and Earl Kleiser and wife Carmen of Williamsburg, Va.; nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death besides his wife were three sisters, Norma Kleiser, Lucille Schuetter, and Mary Ann Prance; and two brothers; Leroy and Alfred Kleiser.
Special thanks to his caregivers, Tammy and Tina and neighbor, Vera for their kind and helpful spirit. Words cannot express the love and care that was provided to him at the Northwood Good Samaritan Home and from Heart to Heart Hospice.
Funeral services for Harold V. Kleiser will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN with burial to follow in Truelove Cemetery in Loogootee.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Saturday at the church.
