Harold E. “Sonny” Wright, 68

Harold E. “Sonny” Wright, age 68, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, September 1, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born January 4, 1945 in Birdseye, Indiana to Edward Earl and Addie Marie (Huff) Wright.

Sonny retired from work in landscaping. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and attending shooting matches.

He was a member of the Christian faith, the Bethlehem Masonic Lodge 574 F&AM and the Birdseye Eastern Star 590.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Wright and Ellis “Gene” Wright; and one grandson, Tommy Lee Wright.

He is survived by one daughter, Beverly D. (spouse: Roger) Hartwick of English, IN; two sons, Jeff (companion: Lisha) Wright of Orleans, IN, and Rodney Wright of English, IN; his companion of 14 years, Brenda Colber of Birdseye; one sister, Anna Marie Hardesty of Albany, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harold “Sonny” Wright will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye. Pastors Jeff and Nelda Seger will officiate at the funeral.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 6:45 p.m. and a Masonic memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, at the funeral home. C
