Harold “Buddy” Frick, 86

Harold “Buddy” Frick, age 86, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his residence.

He was born December 29, 1924 in Huntingburg to Harold and Leota (Helmerich) Frick. He was united in marriage to Frances Fleck on January 28, 1947 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. Buddy was a retired Teamster’s truck driver and served as Dubois County Assessor for 8 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Woodmen of the World. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

He was preceded in death by: one son, Buddy Frick, Jr.; two daughters, Mary Frick Buechler and Kathy Frick; three brothers – Arthur “Sonny” Frick, Wallace Frick and Jacob “Juny” Frick; three sisters – Glenda Leibering, Helen Stobbe and Waneta Wininger; and one grandchild.

He is survived by:

One son and one daughter-in-law; Greg (spouse: Charlotte) Frick – Dallas, Texas,

Four daughters and three son-in-laws;  Toni Frick – Huntingburg, IN,  Cindy (spouse: Steve) Harris – Huntingburg, IN, Gail (spouse: Terry) Werne – Huntingburg, IN, and Tina (spouse: Brad) Knies – Celestine, IN

His fourth son-in-law;  Dan (deceased spouse: Mary) Buechler – Jasper, IN

Three brothers;  Karl Frick – Green Cove Spring, Florida,  Marvin Frick – Huntingburg, IN, and  William “Bill” Frick – Huntingburg, IN

Five sisters;  Patricia Reinhart – Holland, IN,  Shirley Meyer – Jasper, IN,  Beverly Geiser – Okeechobee, Florida,  Marie Seibert – Huntingburg, IN, and  Brenda Gross – Evansville, IN

By eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harold “Buddy” Frick will be held at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Huntingburg). The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
