Handgun charge puts Jasper man in jail

Late Thursday evening Jasper police arrested a man for pointing a gun at another person during an argument.

Police were dispatched to 423 West 43rd St, Apartment 15, for a domestic dispute involving a firearm at around 11:23 p.m. When officers arrived they found 32-year-old Kyle D. Reese outside the residence. He was detained and during the investigation, officers determined Reese pointed his loaded handgun during the domestic dispute.

Officers charged Reese with Criminal Recklessness (D Felony), Pointing a Loaded Firearm (D Felony), and Public Intoxication. He was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.

Dubois County Sheriff’s Department assisted on scene.
