Habitat for Humanity set to dedicate 17th home this Saturday
Habitat for Humanity of Dubois County (HFHDC) will be dedicating its seventeenth home in Dubois County this Saturday, December 14, 2019.
The public is invited to attend the dedication at 804 E 9th Street in Huntingburg at 10:00 am, followed by an open house until 1:00 pm.
Come meet our newest Habitat Homeowner, Amy, tour the home, and learn more about homeownership through HFHDC. Refreshments will be served.
Amy has completed more than 300 hours of sweat-equity, graduated from Habitat’s Money Management Seminar, will receive the keys to her new home on Saturday and begin monthly payments on an affordable mortgage.
HFHDC provides homeownership opportunities for hardworking individuals and families in Dubois County. Habitat Homeowners contribute sweat equity hours building their own home and take classes to learn the ins-and-outs of homeownership. A stable home means more time to focus on educational opportunities for kids, healthier food on the table, and career advancement. Living in a new, energy-efficient home means lower energy bills, improved indoor air quality and lower water bills.
