Gwen P. Rudolph, 95

Gwen P. Rudolph, age 95, of Jasper passed away at m 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 19, 2013) in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

He was born in Boone Township December 11, 1917 to Joseph and Rose (Stradtner) Rudolph. He married Lucille Baker on September 16, 1937; they were married for 75 years.

Gwen was a graduate of Jasper High School Class of 1934 and a lifelong Boone Township Farmer.

He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township and served on the church council and in various roles.

Gwen served on Dubois County Soil Conservation Board and the Dubois County Farm Bureau Board.

He and his wife Lucille spent thirty winters in Lake Placid , Florida and was an associate member of the Presbyterian church in Lake Placid.

He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, playing horse shoes and fishing; Also for many years he enjoyed belonging to square dance clubs.

One brother, L.C.Rudolph, Bloomington, IN

Preceding him in death is one son, John Rudolph, two granddaughter, Marcia Lynn Rudolph and Kathryn Held . Also one sister, Joyce Kaible.

Funeral services for Gwen Rudolph will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday(March 23, 2013) in St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Boone Township. The Rev. Catherine Burnette will officiate.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday (March 22, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel and one hour before services at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to Northwood Retirement Community.
