Gladys Buffenbarger, 86

Gladys Buffenbarger, age 86 of Velpen, Indiana passed away at 2:10 p.m. Saturday (September 29, 2012) in the Timbers of Jasper.

She was born at Mount Carmel, Illinois October 11, 1925 to Thomas and Bertha (Black) Crandal. She married Alexander Grant Buffenbarger May 28, 1960. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1978.

Gladys was a homemaker and had worked for Indiana Furniture in Jasper for many years and later worked for Big Lots in Jasper.

Surviving,

Son, Mark Buffenbarger and spouse Angie , Velpen, IN

Six grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren.

One sister, Vernadine Goodson, Mount Carmel, IL

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one daughter, Judy Ann Ratcliff and two sons, David A. Wood and Daniel E. Wood. Two Half brother, Bernard and Grover Crandal.

Two sisters, Edna Hieser and Edith Risely.

Funeral services for Gladys Buffenbarger will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (October 3, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen.
