Girls on the Run seeking coaches; informational meeting set

Girls on the Run serving Dubois County is currently seeking coaches for the Spring 2016 Season.
A Coaches Information Session will be held this Wednesday, December 9th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jasper Public Library Annex.
Ready to make a difference and encourage girls to realize their full potential? Help Girls on the Run girls gain a stronger sense of identity, greater self-acceptance, a healthier body, and an understanding of what it means to be part of a team in just a couple of hours a week!
Volunteers do not have to be runners themselves; the only requirement is that they be enthusiastic and committed to the healthy development of young girls.
Coaches receive training and are provided detailed lesson plans as well as all the materials and guidance needed so they are ready to lead their teams of 15 girls throughout the 10-week season. Groups meet twice a week for 90 minutes.
Other volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to, a Snack Fairy, 5k Race Day Volunteer or Running Buddy.
Our goal is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
To register today, visit our website at www.gotrswin.org. Registration deadline is Tuesday, December 22nd. For more information please contact Audrey Werner, ph: 812-631-3278 or Sarah Leonard, ph: 812-631-8444.
