Gilbert (Gib) Lindauer, 81, Evansville

Gilbert (Gib) Lindauer, 81, of Evansville, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019, at Hamilton Pointe.

He was born November 11, 1938, in Mariah Hill to the late Gilbert A. and Margaret (Spayd) Lindauer.

Gilbert was a painter at Deaconess Hospital for more than 30 years. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and most recently was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Jan (Schmidt) Lindauer; children, Diane (Bill) Eblen, Keith (Christina) Lindauer, and Sue (David) Thurmon; stepchildren, Scott Carlile and Bonnie (Dan) Hall; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brothers James, David, Bob, Pat and Frank Lindauer; and sister, Roberta Chapman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Fetter; grandson, Jason Lindauer; and step-daughter, Tammy Carter.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave, Evansville, 47714. The funeral service will begin 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the funeral home with Fr. Bernie Etienne officiating.

Burial will be a Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
