Gervase H. Welp, 71

Gervase H. Welp, 71, of St. Anthony, passed away at 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at home.

Gervase was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on July 3, 1944 to Herman and Magdalene (Rasche) Welp.

He was retired from Kimball where he had worked for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Hagedorn and her husband Aaron of Santa Claus and Sherry Hauser and her husband Kevin of Schnellville; one son, Mark Welp and his wife Nancy of St. Anthony; four grandchildren, Megan Hauser-Dickey, Austin Hauser, Lacey and Jayme Lindauer; Three great grandchildren, Camden and Mason Dickey and Trinity Foll; one sister, Arlene Betz and her husband Robert of Schnellville; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is one brother, Thomas Welp.

Funeral services for Gervase H. Welp will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
