German American Bank donates $5k to support local disabled veterans

Thursday afternoon the German American Bank Employee Foundation presented a check in the amount of $5,214.25 to Disabled American Chapter #77 of Dubois County. 

Commander Ken Schuetter thanked the German American Bank and its employees for this donation on behalf of Chapter #77 and all the veterans of Dubois County.  The money will support the chapter’s efforts to purchase a new van.

State Commander Norm Nelson, who was present for the check presentation stated that there are a little over 500,000 Veterans in the state of Indiana. Not all of them need help with transportation, but it is a welcome relief for those who have no other way to address their transportation needs. 

Having a new van means we can continue fulfilling those needs.  In closing let me express our gratitude for this wonderful gift, said Ken in an email.
