Geraldine (Gerry) LeMastus, 86

Geraldine (Gerry) LeMastus, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at her home in Jasper.

She was born in Jasper, Indiana on October 4, 1928 to Roman and Carrie (Hoffman) Kunkel. She married Gerald “Bill” LeMastus on April 12, 1951 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, he preceded her in death on December 27, 1990.

Gerry retired as co-owner of The Gallery. She also was an artist and also operated a graphic design shop in Jasper for many years. She is a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and Precious Blood Ladies Society and volunteered at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper. Her hobbies were artistic endeavors, golfing, sewing, and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hilsmeyer and husband Tom of Jasper; sons, Jim “Bo”LeMastus of Louisville, Ky. and Don LeMastus of Orlando, Fla.; John LeMastus and spouse Kristen of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren, Brooke, Stacey, Tim, Greg, MeKenzie and Jackie.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are sisters, Catherine “Catty” Rohleder, Antoinette “Nets” Birge, Maxine Barnett, Betty Fleck, Roma McCloskey, LeoNore “Kink” Whaley and Anna Mae “Mazie” Fehribach; Brother, Marvin “Bud” Kunkel.

Funeral services for Gerry LeMastus will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, in Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel and from 9 -11 a.m. Friday at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.
