Gerald (Woody) McCaslin, 70

Gerald (Woody) McCaslin, 70, of Jasper, passed away at 3:33 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

He was born at Orchardville, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1945 to Gerald and Mabel (Uber) McCaslin. He was married Ruth Ellen Hemmerlein and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2009.

He enjoyed sports, fishing and golf.

He is survived by three sons, Todd McCaslin of St. Anthony, Dave McCaslin and wife Lisa, Yatesboro, Penn. and Mike McCaslin and wife Sandra of Rural Valley, Penn.; stepdaughter, Kay-Krodel Freyberger and her husband Kurt of Fort Thomas, Ky.; stepson, Kent Krodel of Jasper; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Jason, Morgan and Kaylee and Emily McCaslin; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Max Freyberger; one sister, Cathy McWhorter of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Max McCaslin and wife Sharon of Rural Valley, Penn.

Preceding him in death besides his wife are two sisters, Beverly McCullough and Alice McAfoose. Also two brothers, Don and Keith McCaslin.

Celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
