Gerald L. “Haggie” Hagemeyer, 76

Gerald L. “Haggie” Hagemeyer, 76, of Holland, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 1:51 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in the emergency room.
He was born August 8, 1939 in Stendal to Emil and Ruth (Luker) Hagemeyer. He married Ruby “Pearl” East on October 18, 1969 in Huntingburg.
Gerald graduated from Stendal High School. He was a diesel mechanic at Perkins Transportation and previously, a tractor mechanic at Hagemeyer Implements.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stendal and the Holland American Legion Post #343. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on anything mechanical.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Lisa Hagemeyer; a grandson, Jaxon Sibrel; and three brothers, Wilker, Clifford and Ralph Hagemeyer.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby “Pearl” Hagemeyer of Holland; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dana (Jason) Sibrel of Holland, Donni (Dean) Stephens of Bloomington and Denise Twomley; one brother, Clifton Hagemeyer of Stendal; six grandchildren.
Funeral services for Gerald L. Hagemeyer will be held at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Nass and Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Stendal with military graveside rites by the Holland American Legion Post #343 Memorial Detail. Pastor Joe Kamman will officiate at the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th.
