of Jasper, passed away at 9:08 a.m., Monday (March 4, 2013) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Gerald was born in Owensville, Indiana on October 8, 1941 to Vance and Mildred (Eagleson) Wright. He married Nancy DeBoard on November 26, 1966 in Princeton, Indiana.

Gerald was a clerk and agent for Norfolk-Southern Railroad from 1967 until he retired in 1990.

He was an Air Force Veteran and served in Japan during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Jasper, IN, and a member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren and his dog Sophie.

Surviving, wife, Nancy Wright; three daughters, Stacey Neukam and husband David of Dubois, Glenna Hanselman and husband Terry of Dubois and Jennifer Fuhs and husband Steve of Ireland; four brothers, Dudley Wright, Waldo Wright and wife Barb, Edward Wright and wife Roxie, all of Princeton, IN, andRex Wright and wife Donna of Rockford, Ill; four sisters, Bonnie Watson and husband James of Rockford, IL, Delores Parker of Poseyville, IN, Geraldine Rantz and husband Wayne of Ventura, CA, and Marilyn Wardrip of Princeton, IN; nine grandchildren, Karessa Fetcher and husband Kevin, Katelyn Neukam and fiancée Mackenzie Weisheit, Alex Neukam, Anthony (A.J.) Neukam, Nathaniel Priddy, Joshua Priddy, Travis Fuhs, Olivia Fuhs, and Brandon Fuhs; and two great-grandchildren Keegan and Khloe Fetcher.

Preceding Gerald in death were three brothers, Clifford, Clyde, and Sharon David Wright, and one sister Iris Walter.

Funeral services for Gerald Wright will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (March 9, 2013) at the Church of the Nazarene in Jasper IN, with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Jasper IN. Pastor Darrell Wineinger and Pastor Steve Beck will officiate. The VFW Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, (March 8, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before the service time at the Church of the Nazarene.
