George David Beckmann, 77

George David Beckmann, 77, Indianapolis, died of cancer Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, in Indianapolis.

He was born in Jasper on Jan. 17, 1938, to Edward and Gladys (Hail) Beckmann.

Mr. Beckmann was a U.S. Army veteran and received the Army Good Conduct Medal. He worked for Vonnegut Industrial Products for many years.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles Beckmann and wife Norma and Hale Beckmann; nieces and nephews; and friends, Crystal Bates, Bill Uebelhor and others.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marcus Beckmann, and a sister, Gloria Hatfield.

Visitation was held Friday evening at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East in Indianapolis. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
