Genevieve “Jenny” Miller, 93

Genevieve “Jenny” Miller, 93, of Jasper, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.
Jenny was born in Schnellville, Indiana on July 1, 1922 to Theodore and Mary (Hentrup) Prechtel. She married Sylvester Miller on August 22, 1945 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1985.
Jenny worked as the manager for Holiday Liquors in Jasper for over 30 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and their Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a member of the Jasper Circle of the Daughters of Isabella, the Jasper VFW Post #673 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed golf, bowling, playing cards, watching baseball, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She us survived by three daughters, Elise Krapf and her husband Tony of Jasper, Renae Schmidt and her husband Ken of Jasper and Annette Brelage and her husband Lee of Jasper; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one brother, Ernest Prechtel of Birdseye; one sister-in-law, Lauretta Prechtel of Santa Claus.
Preceding her in death beside her husband was one sister; Antoinette Knies, and four brothers; Richard, Emil, Sylvester and Denis Prechtel.
Funeral services for Genevieve “Jenny” Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
