Genevieve Frick, 89

Genevieve Frick, age 89, of Jasper, passed away at 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at the Timbers of Jasper.

Genevieve was born on May 20, 1924 in Jasper, IN to Robert and Elizabeth (Lechner) Eckerle. She married James Frick in June of 1954. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2010.

Genevieve was a homemaker and had previously worked for Jasper Wood Products.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by  one daughter, Deborah Frick, of Bloomington, IN; four brothers, Joe Eckerle and his wife Irene, Leo Eckerle, and his wife Laura Lou, George Eckerle, and Donald Eckerle and his wife Margaret, all of Jasper, IN.

Preceding her in death beside her husband are four brothers, Roman, Edwin, Sylvester, and Linus Eckerle, and one sister, Georgina Detroy.

Funeral services for Genevieve Frick will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
