Geneva M. Fischer, 87

Geneva M. Fischer, 87, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center.

She was born February 19, 1928 in Dubois County to Raymond and Gladys (Kline) Ingle. She married Albert E. Fischer on March 30, 1948 in English.

Geneva was a homemaker and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Fischer, who passed away April 8, 2004; one brother, Gene Ingle; and one sister, Eva Ingle Abell Rapp.

She is survived by her caregiver and niece, Becky (Bill) Rasche of Huntingburg; one brother-in-law, Joe (Vivian) Fischer of Schnellville; two sister-in-laws, Mildred Fischer of St. Anthony and Mary Jane Fischer of Schnellville; and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Geneva M. Fischer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Taylor Cemetery near Birdseye.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
