“Gear Up to Weigh Down” 12-Week Program

Jasper – “Gear Up To Weigh Down” is a 12-week weight management program offered by Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center that is designed to help participants learn how to achieve or maintain a healthy weight for a lifetime. The program focuses on how to change behaviors to help achieve and maintain a healthy weight, how to set smart goals, how to prepare for obstacles and how to get motivated. Other topics covered during the program include detailed information on portion sizes, how to read food labels, physical fitness, why it is important to maintain a healthy weight, fad diets, how to avoid emotional eating, smart grocery shopping and much more.

“Gear Up To Weigh Down” begins on Monday, September 12 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and will continue for 12 weeks, ending on Monday, November 28. The program will be held in the Community Relations Classroom at Memorial Southside Office, which is located at 1100 W. 12th Avenue in Jasper. The cost of the program is $120.
