Gary A. Schnarr, 58

Gary A. Schnarr, 58, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:40 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014, at his residence in Huntingburg under the care of Heart-to-Heart Hospice.

He was born February 27, 1956 at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Morris and Doris (Vonderheide) Schnarr.

He married Carla R. Giesler on January 3, 1978 in Jasper.

Gary was a maintenance man and electrician at Spencer Industries.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; enjoyed art and music; and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Schnarr.

He is survived by his wife, Carla R. Schnarr of Huntingburg; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Derrick A. and wife Jessica Schnarr of Winter Haven, Fla. and Adam R. Schnarr of Huntingburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sasia J. Schnarr-Fehribach of Jasper and Lynee N. and husband Nick Heichelbech of Jasper; his mother, Doris “Dot” Schnarr of Jasper; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and wife Judy Schnarr of Jasper; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Debbie and husband Michael Schitter of Jasper and Cherie and husband Joe DeKemper of Dubois; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Gary Schnarr will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating.  Cremation will take place following the visitation and funeral services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
