Garry L. Pratte, 81, Sandy, Oregon

Garry L. Pratte, 81, of Sandy, Oregon, passed away at 9:21 p.m. PST.

He was born Dec. 7, 1942, in Los Angeles Co., Calif., to Garland and June (Orrill) Pratte.

Garry was a Navy Veteran who served on several submarines, one of which is the USS BLUEBACK, which is now moored in Portland, Oregon, as an exhibit.

Garry had many friends and was well-known in the community. Garry and his friends would meet at the Sandy Starbucks, which was one of his favorite places. He also loved his Kuvasz dogs, Maggie and later Misty. Garry took them on walks at Dodge Park. Garry had friends everywhere he went.

Garry was preceded in death by his brother, Bernie, both parents, aunts, and uncles and a stepdaughter, Debra Hoffhaus.

Garry is survived by his children, Dennis (Debbie) Pratte, Cindy (Norb) Schreiner, Michelle Pratte (Reno Brown), and Dawn (Pat) Denk. His sister, Marilyn (Bill) Abbott and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
