Frentz A. Sivori, 94
Frentz A. Sivori, 94, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.
He was born April 19, 1921, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Frentz J. and Emily (Von Eye) Sivori. He married Rita M. Merkley on July 1, 1943, at the Schnellville Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Sivori was a retired factory worker and was employed at the Jasper Cabinet Company for 18 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the V.F.W. Post #2366, the D.A.V., and the Holy Name Society. Frentz was an Army Infantry veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita M. Sivori, who passed away May 29, 2007; and four brothers, Bill, John, Al, and Stan Sivori.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James A. “Jim” (Kathy) Sivori of Huntingburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna K. (Terry) O’Brian of Montgomery; two sisters, Pat Turner of Taylorsville, Ky. and Margie Bartley of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Frentz A. Sivori will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A parish rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Honor Flight of Southern Indiana.
