Frederick L. Neukam, 87

Frederick L. Neukam, age 87, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday (June 16, 2013) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Frederick was born on January 15, 1926 in Shoals, Indiana to Fred and Mary (Mann) Neukam. He married Martha Durcholz on January 28, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, Indiana.

He was a lifetime farmer and was named Outstanding Young Farmer of Martin County. He also served in Korea as a member of the United States Army.

He was member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana and served on the church council.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana University Basketball fan.

Funeral services for Frederick Neukam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (June 20, 2013) at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in the Haysville Community Cemetery. Rev. Adam Ruschau The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (June 19, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
