Frederick C. Hoffman, 84

Frederick C. Hoffman, 84, of Jasper, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 2015 in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born in Boone Township, Indiana on December 26, 1930 to Walter and Hilda (Mann) Hoffman. He married Wilma Sendelweck on January 27, 1955 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Fred was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War and a retired farmer. He was a graduate of Otwell High School.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville where he served on the church council. Life member of the V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Hoffman; two daughters, Arlene Vonderheide and husband Do of Jasper and Marilyn Bredhold and husband Scott of Jasper; one son, Tim Hoffman and wife Julie of Jasper; six grandchildren, Jarod Vonderheide and Stacy Vonderheide, Benjamin Bredhold, Joshua Bredhold, Chad Hoffman and Brynn Hoffman; sister, Eldena Weisman of Otwell.
Preceding him in death are one son and one daughter both who died in infancy also two brothers, Rader and Earl Hoffman.
Funeral services for Frederick Hoffman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military grave side rites.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
