Fred Himsel, 75

Fred Himsel, 75, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at his home.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on September 5, 1939 to Elmer and Evelyn (Mann) Himsel.

Fred was a graduate of Dubois High School Class of 1957. His interests were NASCAR, and Indy Car Racing, and watching sports. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.

He is survived by his sister, Marlene Huls of Jasper; brother, George Himsel and his wife Mary Lou of Huntingburg; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents are two brothers, Charles and Eddie Himsel and one sister, Margaret Langley.

Funeral services for Fred Himsel will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville, Indiana. The Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
