Fred “Fritz” E. Block, 50, Dubois

Fred “Fritz” E. Block, 50, Dubois, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Dubois.

Fritz was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on December 28, 1966, to Erwin and Marie (Frederick) Block.

Fritz worked for Jasper Rubber Products in Jasper for over 13 years.

He enjoyed grilling, fishing, hunting, canoeing, going to shooting matches, auctions, riding horses, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica “Lexi” Ramirez and husband Prince of Evansville; son, Justin Block and wife Destiny of San Antonio, Texas; mother, Marie Block of Camby, Ind.; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Block, Aleah Block, Cason Block, and Lily Ramirez; girlfriend, Bobbie Rasche of Dubois; one sister, Michele Reel of Camby, Ind.; one niece, Danielle Reel.

Preceding him in death was his father, Erwin Albert Block.

Funeral services for Fritz Block will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date. Pastor Drew Thurman will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
