Franklin B. Radke, 78, Santa Claus

Franklin B. Radke, 78, of Santa Claus, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville.

Franklin was born on October 16, 1941, in Baltimore, Md. to Franklin and Dorothy Lydia (Beyers) Radke. He married Susan Joy on January 18, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas.

Franklin was retired from the United States Navy after 26 years of service. He also worked as a secondary school teacher. He enjoyed gardening, reading and collecting coins.

Franklin is survived by his wife, Susan Radke; two sons, Daniel J. Radke and Thomas Smith; two daughters, Sandra Sparks and Katy Smith; four grandchildren, Nicholas Aguirre, Lilia Aguirre, CJ Smith and Evon Smith; one great-grandchild, Axton.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. CT in St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Santa Claus. 

Franklin will be buried at sea by the United States Navy at later date.
