Francis M. Phillips, age 87 of Birdseye, Indiana passed away at 8:14 a.m. Monday (October 22, 2012) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born at Louisville, Kentucky March 15, 1925 to Ray and Evo (Jenkins) Philips.

Francis Phillips retired from an Atlanta printing Company as a Bindary Foreman. He also served in the Kentucky National Guard unit for eight years.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jasper, Indiana.

Surviving, two sons,

  • Herbert Phillips, Louisville, KY
  • Richard Phillips, Louisville, KY

Two grandsons; Patrick Shawn and Richard Craig Phillips.

Funeral services for Francis Phillips will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (October 26, 2012) in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jasper with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Schnellville, Indiana. Bishop Glen Meservy will officiate.

Friends may call two hours before the time of services (9 to 11 a.m.) at the church.
