Francis L. Luebbehusen, 81, of St. Henry, passed away at 7:52 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Francis was born in St. Henry, Ind., on February 13, 1938, to Lucas and Rose (Ketzner) Luebbehusen. He married Yvonne Kluesner on June 24, 1961, in St. Celestine Catholic Church.

Francis was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer in the St. Henry area. In his younger days, he worked for Ferdinand Furniture, Indiana Desk, and Best Chairs. He was a member of Christ the King Parish – St. Henry Catholic Church. He enjoyed taking drives, playing cards, playing softball when he was younger as well as spending time with his grandchildren and watching their sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Luebbehusen of St. Henry; two daughters, Lisa Duncheon (Tony) of Montgomery and Paula Wendholt (Stan) of Ferdinand; one son, Jeff Luebbehusen (Tina) of Mariah Hill; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Christian and Ethan Duncheon, Katara Kramer (Chris), Kyle Luebbehusen and Alexandra, Benjamin and Grace Wendholt; two sisters, Margie Fetter of St. Meinrad and Helen Stenftenagel (Rich) of Jasper; two brothers, Sylvestor Luebbehusen (Mary Lee) of Haubstadt and Lucas “Junie” Luebbehusen (Joan) of Ft. Branch; one sister-in-law, Alberta Luebbehusen of Ferdinand.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one brother, Paschal Luebbehusen.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Francis L. Luebbehusen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.  The St. Henry Catholic Church will pray the rosary at 2:45 p.m.
