Authorities are still looking for Savion K. Frey of Jasper for his involvement in the Ireland and Jasper burglaries.

On Friday, Jasper police were notified of a burglary that occurred at the Brigham Osborne and Aaron Sell residence at 659 Genevieve Avenue. Witnesses of the burglary reported seeing a small red four-door car drive by the residence with a female at the wheel. Two male subjects exited the vehicle and broke into the house.

Jasper police received a tip on Tuesday, May 26, that a red 2007 Ford Focus was located at the Walmart parking lot. Jasper police and Dubois County deputies — who had connected the car’s owner, Kieffner, to the Ireland burglaries — responded and located Kieffner and another juvenile female in the store.

Kieffner and the juvenile female were taken to the Jasper Police Department and charged for the burglary and theft.

The unidentified male juvenile was arrested as well.

In regards to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department investigation, two burglaries were reported in Ireland along County Road 550W Monday evening. One homeowner whose house had been broken into did not report anything missing, however, the second homeowner reported a large sum of money had been taken from a safe and a 1999 Ford pickup had been taken.

Deputies found the Ford pickup several hours later on a county road in Pike County.

Deputies identified five persons — the individuals listed above — of interest during the investigation. Four of those individuals have been arrested and charged.

All face Level 4 felony counts of residential burglary or aiding residential burglary and Level 6 felony counts of theft or aiding theft, according to police. Peckinpaugh was additionally charged with Level 6 felony count of vehicle theft.

Some of the money from the Jasper burglary has been recovered. The incidents are still under investigation.

Jasper Det/Sgt Rick Chambers reported that during the course of the investigation, several items were recovered that had not been accounted for in the reports. If anyone has had items stolen from their vehicles since May 9 and has not reported the theft, they are asked to contact the Jasper Police Department at 812-482-2255 and ask to speak with Det/Sgt Chambers.

Jasper Police Department, Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police all assisted in the investigations.
